When Keith rolled up in his stock '95 2-door Tahoe, I was glad we were given the opportunity to help out the looks of it. It was sitting way too low and didn't have any aggressive look to it at all.

We quickly got work and got her on the lift.

After pulling the tires and rotor assembly, we realized how difficult the tahoe was going to be to dismantle. Keith had mentioned that the car was from Michigan, but we thought it was no big deal, we had dealt with rust before...boy were we wrong.

Here's a picture of the underbody with the suspension

Here's the underbody after removing the suspension. The Torsion bar keyways were basically rust-welded to the end of the torsion bar from the Michigan rust. After about an hour of beating and a full can of WD-40, I gave up and got the Plasma cutter out and went to town on the torsion bar crossmember. Luckly I had a spare crossmember left over from my SAS installation. It took another can of WD-40 and another half-hour of beating to get the torsion bars out of the lower control arms.

After 1 full day, the original suspension is gone...and so is my energy.

With the lift installed, Keith brought his tires and wheels by the shop to be mounted on the vehicle. He went with some sick looking 35x15.50x15 TSL SX's on 15x12" Black Powdercoated rims. We were caught off gaurd by the combo, as most of us like the "bling" chrome look. However, the tire and wheel combo proved beneficial to the very aggressive look we wanted for Keith's Tahoe.

After we completed the project, we pulled the Tahoe into the drive. The Black Lift kit, black rims, and red edelbrock shocks really completed eachother and gave the tahoe a whole new look.
